Mom's Interview this morning at Chennai

Gurus,
i am really frustrated and upset with my mom's GC interview this morning, she went in around 8:30 as her appointment is at 9AM and it seems everything went well almost to the end. we got the police clearance certificate form the regional police station, but it seems they want to have it form the regional passport office. now she has to travel back to Visakhapatnam and get it done. does anybody have any idea how long will this process take? it seems the embassy ppl told her to mail in the 221g with this certificate and her passport to VFS. i am really confused about the whole situation. can anybody suggest me how to approach them for a faster service. any help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your mother's treatment.

The blame lies with VFS, who in the first place should have made sure that you have your PCC from RPO as well. Now your mother needs to approach the RPO and get the PCC from them. The timescale will all depend how your mother or Any other relative who accompanies would deal with the official who oversees such request. You know how things like this work in india.

Normally, PCC is issued on the same day! So do not worry, and submit the same with the passport at VFS center !
