visitor visa rejected for parents

Hi,

we are expecting baby in month of Dec so we have applied for B2 Visa for my parents this week. and it got rejected. (i am on L1-B Visa) they asked following questions.

1. Purpose of travel in During Dec ??
Visit son and tourism.
2. how much do you earn ?
retired (but used to earn 4 digit per month salary)
3. they asked my mom what do you do ?
home maker.

and they gave reason that insufient ties to home coutry. i am confused they haven't seen or asked any documents and the question they asked were not relevant to the reason except question number 2. even though i have sponsed them.

Q. is it worth trying again for there visitor visa ???
Q. will the rejection of my parents visa can affected renewal of my L1 visa which is due in April 11 ??

Visa officer should be convinced that your parents (applicants) will return to home country after US visit. Strong ties to home country must be proved.
