My mom used to visit US every year with a gap of 6 months and stayed 6 months for last 3 years with no problem. But lasttime she came here with a gap of 5 months, and was given only 3 months visa at the dallas POE. She is planning to come again this year after almost 11 months gap. Very nervous about the entry. Please let me know if there might be a problem, if so will I be able to do something... Can an explanation letter be of anyhelp? Your responses are greatly appreciated.

If she left before her I-94 date the last time and if she has spent 11 months outside the US, she should be able to get another 6 months this time.
