yet not clear on one point in DS-156

In point number 18. of DS-156 form it says as
below:

Spouse's Full Name (Even if divorced or separated.Include Maiden name)

1. My mom (widow) , still I think we need to mention my father's name here.

2. Also his name is X.YYYY where X is his initial. But I have mentioned the expansion for X in the point number 18, that is I mentioned my grandfather name also since it said include maiden name, but in my mom's passport , my father's first name only is there. Will this be a problem. Should I change and cut off the expansion and my father's inital as such and just include the same way as it is in my mother's passport????/

PLEASE HELP AS IT IS VERY VERY URGENT.
