221(g) yellow form during H1B Visa stamping

Hi All,

Me too, got interviewed on 2nd Dec 2010, got yellow letter for 221(g) admin processing, Counting 3rd week, not received any email from consulate as of now.

Pls keep this post updated if anybody gets the mail and interviewed in Dec-2010.

I think this will take somewhere around 1-2 months.

Guys,

I had my interview on 2nd NOV, submitted docs required as per 221(g) the very next day - 3rd NOV. Was asked to submit the passport by Delhi embassy on 9th Nov (got excited that my visa was approved ... not to be ... what a dumb fool i was ...

..), submitted passport on 10th Nov. Passport was submitted by VFS to the embassy on 11th NOV.... have been waiting since then ...

Point i want to make here is: There is no guarantee of which case will take how much time.... 2days, 2 weeks or 2months ... so dont think about it.... just get busy with your normal life ... easier said than done ... its the festive season..so party ...

H1-B first time stamping
interview date 16th nov
yellow 221g given for admin processing.
All contact for enquiry I am not getting definite time ,anyone for november got their replies ? although I think it differs case by case

i also have the same story. working fulltime for financial company.very geniune case.no docs asked and ggiven 221g yellow on 2 dec. really frustrating. please update if someone gets an email

i got yellow form on sep 7th, waiting since then...no updates yet.

first time h1 stamping. interview went well VO said everything is fine but have to wait for admin process.

asked routine questions abut job and client and school since i had done my masters in USA.

waiting for it.

read forums where people got it in weeks or few months so cant compare case.

please keep posting your updates.

Hi sameboat12,

What docs you were asked to submit based on the 221(g) form? I was asked to submit a client letter, i tried to explain that i will be working inhouse and have nothing to do with any clients. But still was asked to explain everything with the docs i submit. :-|

waiting since september... must have been real frustrating for u ... TC and Best of Luck.

I visited Mumbai Consulate yesterday to know the status of the process. They asked for my passport and checked the status in their systems. It wasnt of much help though and they asked me to wait for the email. I am in my 3rd week and still waiting. Lets keep each other posted.

i was given the yellow form so no documents were asked

Hi Guys,

I received 221g yellow slip on 7th December. This is my first H1-b stamping.

I was asked very general questions and very straight forward and I later determined that I used different name of employer at one place in DS 160. Could this be a reason? Also I used my actual work address instead of my petitioner address in i797. Can that be a reason for this? No further documents were asked in interview.
