221(g) yellow form during H1B Visa stamping

No, they dont.

I was just trying to figure out what would have happened, which triggered document submission request after 6 months.
But saying that they were waiting on these docs to be produced, is the most frustrating part.

Can someone fitting into below criteria please share the latest status of his / her case.

Consulate : Mumbai.
221g : Yellow with no documents asked.
Interview date between Jan 19, 2012 and Feb 29, 2012.

Congratulations dude .. read in 221g blue forum that you have got the email for final processing and passport submission from consulate ..
regarding bar code in pdf .. for 221g blue it does not appear in pdf, its only the email.

Hi All,

I have been a regular visitor of this forum after I got a 221G yellow for admin processing at mumbai consulate.This forum have been a great help in cooling the nerves and getting to know the intricacies of the 221G .

My Case Detail are

18-May-2012 :- Interview at mumbai consulate , Got 221G yellow for admin processing.No docs kept or asked.
4-Jun-2012 :- Ceac Code appeared in PDF.
6-Jun-2012 :- Passport submitted to VFS.
14-Jun-2012:- Passport Received with stamping. Clearance date on visa stamp 1-Jun-2012.

I think i was a little lucky to get out of this sooner. I pray to god for earliest Stamping for the guys who are still waiting . Best of Luck and have patience , you will get it sooner than later.

1. Whats your model [EVC , EC or fulltime] ? Did they grill you on Employee- Employer relationship ?
2. Did you receive email first and then your case number appeared in the pdf or you didn't recd an email at all?

1. I am on EC model with a reputed US based MNC.There were only basic question asked like company name , client name , salary and Name of Reporting Manager at onsite.
2. No email received , directly case id came on pdf after two weeks.

Not sure about the reason for 221g yellow but most probably name check as I have common muslim name
