Default Is it possible to do masters while working in H1B visa.

    Hi All,

I am currently in Virginia working in H1B visa. I am interested to do masters while working. Is it possible to do so?.

    Appreciate any inputs.

    Thank You.

yes, possible and allowed as long as you keep working full time on H1b and meet the requirements for H1b status.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.http://www.immihelp.com/visas/h1b/h1-visa-faq.html

What would be the visa status at that time, will it be H-1 or need to change it a F-1 (or a different category)?

That depends on whether you want to keep working. If you change to F1 you cannot work off-campus without separate authorization. If you remain in H1 you must work for the H1 sponsor.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
