OCI Vs PIO Card

Can you help answer a simple question for me,

Myself and my wife both have one parent each who was born in India, both have old passports and birth certificates. They both now hold UK passports and live in the UK. My wifes father is currently applying for an OCI card for himself, can I apply for an OCI card for my wife (his daughter) or do I have to apply for a PIO card? (she is born in the UK)
