I am an Indian resident willing to relocate to USA. I have been told by one of the immigration consultant in India to go on J1 visa.

I want to know the legalities involved, whether you can convert your J1 into H1B, when can you convert if yes,what kind of work you can do and what are the pay packets for such visas?

Please help me in the procedure of applying for it.
