Short term insurance

Hello;
My mom has been in the US for 3 months, she has a GC she plans on staying three more months and then going back to her home country for 5 months. Then she'll be back in October. My question is can she buy the Patriot Go travel America for three months (until April) and then purchase it again when she comes back in October. She only stays here the required time for her green card. So I was wondering if this could work for her? Thank you very much
