can i quit my job after 4 months and work as partime freelancer?

I got my employment based green card 4 months ago, I have been with same company for 2 years now(h1b prior to GC)

now I really want to start my own business, at the beginning i will probably be doing less money than I make right now and it will be more like a part time job.

so my question how soon I can leave my current job, and if I quit, do I have to find another full time job. when I apply for citizenship will it cause any problem?
