Clarification regarding F1 Visa Validity

Hii,

I have an F1 Visa valid for 5 years which i got in last December'2010.
That was specific to a university which i was supposed to join in Feb'2011.

But due to some personal reasons, i could not join and i had planned to join in the next term ie during June. [The univ has 3 term intakes an year ]

Now i am thinking of possibilities to join some other university instead of that univ during / after June.

Firstly, I want to know how long my F1 Visa is valid, ie whether i can afford postponing my entry into US till say at the max next Feb 2012.

Secondly, Since on my F1 it is mentioned about the University name, whether it is possible to change the University or not.

Thirdly, How cumbersome or easy is that process of transfer, and whether i may need to attend another Visa Interview.

Can anybody shed some light on the possibilities.

For first entry to the US in F1 status, you need a Visa with the same university's name which you plan on attending. So, I think you will need a new Visa for new university.
