Hi All

I am currently on my H1B visa since October 2004
valid until October 2007. My EAD/OPT card is still valid till
May 15 of this year.

I am being told repeatedly by a government agency
that while on my H1, i need to have a card ID similar to
the EAD/OPT card.

Is this true ? Has anyone done anything similar to this ?
Is this something that needs a special request to be made ?
