I'm lost...need clarifications

my case type is I485 I765 (unmarried children 21/older)
Just got my work autorization card today what do i do now?
what do i need to get my SS# and how long after this will my GC arrive?
also my lawyer send me a letter for me to stop by his office with another $1500.00.
Do i need to pay him more money or i can just do this byself?

OMG no don't pay the lawyer another cent. You have your EAD card now yes employment authority? Now you can get a job no problem and get to the SS office and get a SS number. Your GC should arrive within 4-6 weeks. To get your SS card you will need your EAD card, passport, marriage license if you came here on K1 and married.

That's what i though, i do have my EAD (got it yesterday by mail) and today i got another letter by my lawyer saying that i have to pay him $750.00, so now i know that there's something "fishi" going on, i'm going monday to the ss office to apply for a ss#..my only doubt is that if i dont pay him,he will influence on the outcome or my GC, i just want you to know that my father is the one doing the petition, we apply in 1997/1998 and i've been leaving in USA since 1993, i know that i should have my papers by now but i was very irresponsable about this matter...

He can't stop your GC you have every right to stop using a lawyer and yeah asking for more money sounds real fishy. Sack him immediately.
