L1 visa Pending under 221(g) Admin Processing

Interview Date : 23-Jun (Chennai)
Visa Type: L1A (Individual)
Consular officer asked basic questions on employment - Years of service, role etc and referred me for Admin Processing. Indian lady at the second counter gathered the following information
- Countries visited
- Details of siblings
Passports Retained: Yes (Self and dependents)
Received mail from VFS on 21-Sep

Received: 9/26/2011

I have a question though (I have another thread on this). When will I get my support docs like my I129S etc. back?

Dear All,

Finally my case is processed after exactly 85 days.

I got a call from Kol consulate on 20Th Sept to submit my passport. As I am from Mumbai, took time to send passport and then got SMS and mails from Kol consulate on Monday(26th Sept) that I can collect the passports on the counter or they will courier to mumbai. Today I receved my passports with stamped Visas. Also, I didn't see my barcode in PDF file (http://photos.state.gov/libraries/ko...sing092211.pdf)
Please find the below details:
Visa Type: L1A
Interview Date: 27-Jun-2011
Slip: PINK
Informed me to submit passports: 20-Sep-2011
Submitted passports: 23-Sep-2011
Received Passports: 26-Sep-2011

All these 85 days were horrible but still made 2 calls to Kol consulate, I never called DOS. Looks like patience is the key.

Hi Guys,

After long wait i received my Passport with Visa today after 77 days...
Clearance received on 22-Sep-11 and got SMS/Mail on 26-Sep-11.

Hope every body's wait will end soon...best of luck

I just recieved an email from the VFS chennai saying - My passport will be couriered to me today at 4pm. But the status on the PDF still showing as "Pending Processing". Tried calling both VFS and Consulate - They say I will have to wait until I recieve my passport to know the outcome.

Can anyone tell me the number to call to find the status.

I am really nervous. Will update once I recieve the passport.

Dont worry man...have u got mail to collect from counter 4pm - 5 pm..then u can collect it..
if not collected it would be automtaically couriered to ur address...status will be updated only once after 4 PM..pbly next day of mail only

Do you mean to say that the status is changed only after the mails are dispatched.

They did ask me to collect it from VFS between 4-5 but I cannot make it as I am in Pune.

I think I will have to wait for two days to know the outcome.

Finally I got to see what I wanted to see for past 3024000 secs (35 days x 24hrs x 60min x 60 sec). The status now shows "ISSUED". Will update once I recieve the passport.

All the best to all waiting to see the magical status. I am sure all of you will get to see it soon and will pray for all of you when I am in Shirdi this Saturday - Oct 1st.
