L1 visa Pending under 221(g) Admin Processing

Now I am daily calling to DOS and getting the same answer. God knows when it will be processed.

One thing I noticed today. In case status pdf they are daily removing some barcode numbers(kolkata consulate). Assuming that are processed. I checked the numbers before me and it is like -

30-Jun-11: removed 6 numbers before me
29-Jun-11: removed 20 numbers before me
28-Jun-11: removed 12 numbers before me
27-Jun-11: removed 9 numbers before me
24-Jun-11: removed 7 numbers before me

same here. But not sure what happens to those cases who are out even though they are in 'Pending' status.

For last one month I can see in the pdf the same 11 cases are showing as 'Processing Completed’. I hope currently they are not changing the status if processed only removing the number. My assumption could be wrong. Don’t know what is happening.

its quiet frustrating.. In my case, I already have valid business visa.. Not sure what else checks they would need as I can travel any time to US on short term basis.
Anyway, kind request to you to pl. keep updating the thread whenever you get approval or any email from them as I see very few people update thread once they get visas.

It seems like you are getting this experience first time. If your case has not been chosen for administrative processing for your other visas then why for this time? I think some special checking is going on and many people are suffering from this process.

We can see in case status pdf (kolkata consulate) there are 350 cases which are pending for administrative processing. If anybody in the same list please share your information.

For other consulate you are also welcome.

Just curious, I ever came across reading from the website that the admin processing only applied to male....emmmmm I guess it is not true! Any female with the same cases as me, please join this thread.....At least I know that I'm not alone........

nope, I haven't got yet. waiting and waiting....5 weeks completed. I am thinking to call DOS again today. have u called to DOS?

I think this is wrong that admin processing is only applicable for male. You are not alone. There are many who are suffering from this process.

Admin processing(pink slip) is mainly for security check/name check. For some common names they usually sends for verification.

Thats correct.
Since 30th June, no update on PDF. I think, may be because 4th July long weekend. I hope to see today updated PDF but expect mine to be in Pending status only.. I checked with other TCSers, almost all cases said, waiting period is of 2 months min!
