new born , isurance and passport

My husband is a US citizen and I am non US citizen living abroad. I am 6 months pregnant now. I am planning to move US in september as an immigrant . The medical insurance of the baby is too expensive in usa, so is it wise to deliver abroad and move after his birth? Is there any health plan in USA which covers my delivery once I enter USA? I have also another question. As my husband is living in US since last 9 years and is a US citizen, can I apply directly for the US passport for my baby after his birth here in my country? Do the new born baby need passport to travel with me?

There is no insurance plan available to cover delivery if you are already pregnant.

Does the new born baby need US passport ?If yes, can I apply directly for the issuance of PP for him? I have read in the forum that he can travel without PP with mom within 2 yrs after his birth. Plz advise me
