    Default L2 ead

    Hi All,
I recently got my L2 visa. I will be resigning from my current job since they wont give leave for the duration until I get the EAD. Things are at a mess at the proffesional and personal front cos of this uncertainty. I would like to apply for EAD so that I can start working soon.
Please let me know if any of you have any information/experience on the following :-
    1) How soon can I apply for the EAD on my arrival to US.
    2) Do people with EAD get jobs easily in IT. Anyone who have similar experience?
    3) Those who have been unsuccessful in finding a job on EAD, what are the other options other than being a homemaker?

If any of you are lawyers or attorneys I would request you also to please give your inputs. I would appreciate that greatly.

    Thanks in advance friends ...sdc

Immediately, but it may take 2-3 months to get it.

You can work in any position anywhere. Many jobs in retail, service, hospitality, assistant type positions etc. pay pretty well and command equal respect in American society, so you don't need to limit yourself to IT positions.

I doubt any here are. Attorneys get paid for their service, why would they provide it for free?

    See above.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
