Last Name change

Hi,

My wife came to US with her Maiden Name in her Passport/VISA/I-94 and then we applied her SSN/Driver License/Employment Authorization using her Maiden Name only.

During her passport renewal, we changed her last name. The SSN office did not accept her name change request stating that her immigration documents needs to be updated. I guess, the same will apply when we updated her Driver's License etc.

Can anyone guide on how do we proceed to update her name in immigration documents? Thanks for any feedback.

First in order to advise you, can you tell me what your wife current immigration status?
Driver's license office would not make any change before Social Security office!
