H-4 to F1 transfer pending , Can i still work part time ??

Dear Folks,

If current visa is H-4 and have filed for F-1 transfer , are you legally allowed to work part time ? How much time is required to complete the transfer ?

H4 and F1 both statuses don't allow unrestricted work.
Only after change of status to F1 is approved you can work part-time on-campus while attending classes.
