IMP : H1B Visa expired .. Do I need transit Visa

Hi

I am traveling to India next week via Frankfurt

MY US (H1B visa) Is expired and I have valid I-797 till 2013

Do I need transit visa as i am travelling via frankfurt ?

There have been issues in the past when one transit via Germany (Or any other European countries other than Belgium) with an expired U.S visa. You should check with your airlines and with the German consulate about this. Send an email to the German consulate and if they say okay, then take a printout and carry it with you.
