  • H1-B Approved Petition Transfer

    Hi

I work for an IT company in India. My H1-B petition filed by my employer was approved on September 2009 and valid till Sept 2012. I haven't gone for Visa stamping yet. Initialy the petition was for Client A in US. However the project was over and I now work for another US Client B and my employer is the same who filed the petition. I am required to travel to US for Client B.

My employer has applied and got the Transfer memo from Client A to Client B. Is there anything else or another document needed while I appear for the Visa interview? Do I need an ammendment? Please help me with details/suggestions to be on the safer side when I appear for the Visa Interview in India next week.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

If the new work location is in a different metro area from the first one, a new LCA and petition amendment may be required. If that is what you mean by transfer memo, you should be fine.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
