Transit visa for French Polynesia?

Hi,

I have an Indian passport with a valid non-expired H1-B visa from US. I'm planning to travel to New Zealand for tourism. Now the ticket that I've purchased has a layover in French Polynesia for about 3 hours before I take another flight to NZ. My question is, would I still need a French transit visa though I have a valid US visa? I tried contacting the French embassy but nobody even picks up the phone. Air Tahiti is ridiculous with their customer service and has no clue or even willing to help. I repent buying a ticket from them anyways. I would greatly appreciate if any body has any information regarding this.

So finally, the French Consulate calls me back after a million calls that I made and tells me that since I have a US work Visa, I do not need a transit visa in French Airports. Phew!!
