New form DS-156E help how to fill up few questions to renew E1

Hi Everyone,

I am confused how to fill up the new form DS-156/I-129 to renew my E1 visa.
I have been looking online for help without sucess.

Does someone could help, I have hard time to answer:
question 9: Financial Statement for year
- Owner's equity of a corporation refers to paid-in capital plus retained earnings; partner's capital accounts in a partnership; and owner's capital account in a sole proprietorship. (i though "Equity = asset - Liability" but now I am confused, please help).

question 12: Total investment from abroad made in the U.S
- Initial investment (it is the amount when the E1 visa was granted for the first time or is it the amount at the beginning of the 2010 fiscal year)
- Total cumulative investment (is it the amount in my business bank account and my business inventory now ?).
