Use priority mail as it will deliver in 3 days instead of 6 to 9 days with regular mail.
You can also use express (not recommended though) but for express there is a seperate address

I got my Fingerprints and photo done on the 10th. It took less than an hour including waiting time and all stuff.
What does the FBI do? Name check & Fingerprint match? or Background check? I'ma little confused

USCIS does everything on your profile. FBI checks your finger prints, name and background. There are different agencies involved in collecting information about applicants.

Some time they send your profile to home country for background check. Some other agencies like Border Security, etc will check, did applicant ever enter through other ways etc.

Don't be panic. It's a common procedure for USCIS to background check. Specially for certain people they do rigrous background checks, if their name matches to certain category.
