OCI status for nimor - Pending approval of the Government of India

Hi

I have submitted OCI application for my son on last week and current status shows as 'Pending approval of the Government of India'

Is this a common status (or) something else missing or required need to be provided?

Has anyone seen this status? if so, please share details about next steps.

I called Travisa couple of days back and asked what the pending status means and they said its common status and if anything required they contact me. They also said OCI can take up to 60 days.

Even today the status remains same and not sure how long it takes to see the new status.

Please share if anyone seen the Pending status on OCI and next steps.

I am happy to share you that OCI status updated as:

OCI Card received at the Consulate from Delhi, India. Waiting for original US passport to be sent to Travisa Outsourcing. If the US passport is already at Travisa Outsourcing, no action needs to be taken.

I am going to post the passport today.
