    Default Minor's Tourist Visa Expiry

    Hi All,

My son was born in US this year (March 2011) and holds a US passport. Unfortunately my L1 extension got rejected in August 2011 and I was asked to leave the country in 7-8 days. I went to San Francisco and got his Tourist Visa. I was planning to apply for his PIO from India.
Now after going through some sites I got the info that I can't apply for his PIO on tourist visa.
Please let me know what options are left with me, I want to retain his US citizenship.
There are almost no chances that I will be able to visit US in near future.

    Thanks in Advance.

You can certainly apply for his PIO card while he is in India on tourist visa. How else he will be in India?
