    Default Birth Certificate lost??PLEASE help?

I am filing Fiance visa for my fiance but he told me he did not find his original birth certificate.
In this situation can he apply again in his country and use the copy they provide him
    OR
is that an Affidavit would be acceptable? If affidavit is acceptable what should be written in that?
    PLEASE help

If you are the petitioner then your fiance only needs to send you a copy of their BC but they will need original for interview.

My husband also had this same problem. He sent in a school certificate with his birth date and a notirized affidavid from his parents stating his birth. He also had to include a letter from the municipal office where he was born stating his birth was not registered.
