  • PIO card - sent to consulate instead of travisa

    Hello -
I applied PIO for my son, but was misdirected to a link where I had all information about sending PIO application directly to CHICAGO consulate (instead of travisa) and I did send to consulate, it reached them last wednesday (confirmed through UPS delivery).

Now I realized that all PIO are handled by travisa after april this year. I am keeping my fingers crossed about what would happen to the documents that were sent to the consulate (along with my son's original passport, cashier cheque etc).

Did anyone had a previous experience of this kind. Would the consulate send the all documents back to my address? I am concerned about this. I could not get hold of the consulate phone.

Pl let know if anyone had such experience...

You would normally get your documents back.
