GC process question ... plz help

I have one ultimate question.

In which phase of GC I should be in, before my 6 yr H-1B expires ???

The steps I know are
1) LC
2) I-140
3) I-485
and so on ...

At the end of my 6 yr H-1B in which step of GC process I should be standing ???
