Default visitor visa to visit my sister convocation

    Hi!

I ((45yo) and my daughter (15yo) have been invited by my sister in US to visit her for holiday and also attend her convocation. she has been in US for 10 years now and she has also acquired US citizenship an year ago. A few queries reg. applying for B2 visa:

    1. Does my sister have to give all letters - invitation letter, Employment letter, Bank letter, employment letter, letter to consulate -- all in duplicate - 1 each addressed to each of us? Or 1 copy will do?

    2. I will be paying for the air tickets and other expences will be taken care by my sister once we reach US? I have cash balances of upto INR 2 lakhs in one bank a/c and a little over 1 lakh in another. I have properties (worth upto 30 lakhs) and FDs, MFs -- 2-3 lakhs. Is this sufficient to show that I can sponsor my travelling expences?

    3. Do I need to carry all original documents of properties, investments etc. or will photocopies do (for the interview)?

    4. Being a housewife, I do not pay any I-T, so I do not have any I-T return papers. Will this be a problem? My only regular income is rent from appt. (9000pm).

    Thanks.

    Default Form I-134 clarification required

    Thank you for your reply.

My sister has filled up the I-134 form for myself and my daughter (for visitor B2 visa). There is a confusion regarding Q8 on the form

"The following persons are dependent on me for support (wholly or partially dependent on you for support"

Does my sister have to mention our names who will be visiting her for a family holiday? Although she will be paying for our expenses while we are in US (we are purchasing our own tickets), we are not dependent on her financially.... meaning she does not send us any money etc. on a regular basis or otherwise. In fact, no one is dependent on her - she is single and my parents who are in India are also self-sufficient.

So can this column be left blank...?
