interview at Delhi Counsulate (need help)

My parents had gone to Delhi Counsulate for intial interview to get visitor visa. They were send back and was told that it is on adminitrative inquiry. Does anyone know as to how much time they normally take to clear this. And also what happens after they clear.

After they clear the administrative inquiry/processing, they should normally get a visa granted.

My parents are in the same boat but after 3 months today they got visa for 10 years.

for my parents it took 3 months. They appeared on March 14th 2005 and got the clearance and call from consulate on6/15/05. But it cant be generalized. it can be cleared ina week also and can take upto 18 months.
But after the clearance visa is 99% sure. This is the statics which I hape pulled from the documentspublished by Federal govt.
