foreign freelance work in the US

Hi,

I would like to come in the United States with student dependent F2 visa, my wife being student with a F1 visa.
I am registered in my country(France) as a freelance, it is considered like I have my own company. Would I have the right to work from my appartement for a company as a french freelance, and to receive the payment in France, not in the US... or would it still be considered like some US work and so non-authorized?

HI,
according to me if you are planning to continue work as a freelance, you might need to follow rules and regulations of the US. you might need to register as a contractor or sole trader in the US and also get a bank account there. This might consume few weeks.
