F-2 Visa rejected Twice...please help....

HI,

I am working on F-1 (OPT). My wife's F-2 visa got rejected twice at Mumbai consulate, VO said the reason behind rejection is "you are not going to come back to India cause your husband is defiantly going to apply for H1-B in future" and handover 214(b) letter. My OPT is going to expire in July 2012. My questions are..

1. How many times I can apply for F-2? Is it fine if I apply in some other consulate??
2. Or should I apply for B1/B2 visa instead of F-2 and then within 6 month I can convert her visa to H4 with my H1 in US?


Please advice..... please give me your suggestions on F-2 visa interview...

U can apply F-2 as many time you want.
You can apply for B1/B2 visitor visa too but chances of visitor visa are most likely to get rejected as F-2 is rejected twice.
Selecting a different consulate won't effect anything.Everything is centralised.
So the best thing is to wait for H-1 and then apply H-4 for ur wife.

even my wife's visa got rejected twice at mumbai. I am also on extended OPT and its going to expire in Jan 2013. Do you know what your plans for application?

B2 visa rejection... planning to apply F2 visa

Hi

In march 2011, My wife face interview for B2 visa and got rejection and the reason VO gave was she never went out from India. At that time i was on F1 OPT just started and was unemployed

Now i am on OPT extension and also Employed. So i m planning to get F2 visa for my wife.

Did any one gone through with this situation or planning to do?

what are the documents required for F2 visa?
I will b really appreciated if any one of u reply ASAP.

Sorry for not being in touch. Did your wife applied for F-2 visa again?
We are planning to apply again in the month of March sometime, have started to look for dates now.
Please let me know if you have any progress on your end.
