OCI and Chlidren clear answer

I have read thru all the Q&A's and still a little fuzzy on the applying for OCI for my children.

Myself --> Indian Origin (Applying for OCI, waiting for my surreder certificate)
Wife --> Non Indian Origin (Applying for PIO or 10 year visa)
Child 1 --> 12 years [US Born] (US Passport and Brith Certificate)
Child 2 --> 9 years [US Born] (US Passport and Birth Certificate)

Should I or Can I apply for OCI for the children.

Objective of trip to India: Visiting Family for one month in June 2012.
