Oci/pio enquiry

Hello everyone
just had a query regarding OCI/PIO
i was wondering if anyone could guide me on this thing.

i am an indian citizen holding a valid indian passport.

we have a baby boy who is around six months old.He is british born and has a british passport.

i just wanted to ask that can i apply for a PIO/OCI card for him so that i dont have to apply for a visa for him when ever i go to india.will he be eligible for any such thing as i am an indian citizen by birth and i hold a valid indian passport.

my entire family are indian citizens.

(FYI my wife is a dual citizen with british and pakistani nationality).

if he is eligible then which card do i need to apply for ,is it OCI or PIO card for him,and what would be the procedure.

your advice on above matter shall be highly appreciated and i shall deem it a great favour.

i understood from your reply that my son will be eligible for a PIO card.

but below point in eligibility criteria confuses me a bit ...

He/she or either of his/her parents or grandparents or great grandparents was born in and permanently resident in India and other territories that became part of India...... thereafter provided neither he/she or either of his/her parents or grandparents or great grandparents was at any time a citizen of any country as may be specified by the Central Government from time to time

it states in above point that if any of the parent belongs to any of the mentioned restricted country like pakistan then the kid wont be eligible for this card...

as i said in my post my wife holds british and PAKISTANI nationality...

will my child being born to a mother who is of pakistani origin which is a restricted country be still eligible for this PIO card ?

the inconvenience caused is deeply regretted ... but desparetely need to clear this point ... and immi help is the only hope to me now !!

No PIO for your son because mother is of Pakistani origin.
