PIO Application Status Question!!

So, my current status says "Application is Pending" -- has anyone experienced this, and if so, what happened in your case? What did this mean? I've been looking around on the internet and typically when the status says "Application is pending," it shows the next status something along the lines of "Travisa has matched your documents and is preparing them to go to the Consulate." The problem is that the time between when the application is pending to when this happens I've seen is generally a week. I was just wondering whether anyone's experienced this and what their thoughts are on it. My PIO timeline as of yet is as follows:

01/23/2012 12:38pm EST Service order form completed online
01/25/2012 9:21am EST PIO application arrived in the mail at Travisa Outsourcing. Please allow Travisa Outsourcing up to 7 business days before the application status changes. Note that your application will undergo several steps before the status is updated.
01/25/2012 9:23am EST Application assigned for processing
01/25/2012 12:21pm EST Order form and supporting documents received, payment processed
01/25/2012 5:35pm EST Documents prepared to go to Embassy.
01/27/2012 8:46am EST Documents dispatched from Travisa Outsourcing Office to Consulate
01/27/2012 9:01am EST Documents dispatched from Travisa Outsourcing Office to Consulate
01/27/2012 10:49am EST Documents received by Consulate
01/27/2012 5:17pm EST Application is pending.

I am just wondering whether they want some other document, and if this status will severly delay my application. Thanks in advance for your help!
