Default Medical Insurance for employed self sponsered Visa

Hi, I am applying for B2 Visitor Visa. I am currently employed in India in a reputed IT firm as a Business Analyst for the past 5 years. The company has agreed and approved my leave to visit the US. I have sufficient funds to sponser my trip and hence I have decided to apply for a Self sponsered Visa. The question is, do I need to explicity apply for any medical insurance. My employer already takes care of my medical insurance and has a coverage upto 5 lakhs in case of emergency. Kindly let me know if I need to submit any documents related to my medical insurance in order to get my Visa. Thanks in advance!!

The current insurance you have is only for domestic use within India.

Even if you could use it in the U.S. by any chance, $10,000 is a very very small amount for healthcare in the U.S. and not sufficient for practically anything.

Therefore, you need a separate visitors insurance while you are visiting the U.S. Please visit http://www.insubuy.com Once you enter your criteria such as travel dates, age etc., you will see many products and their prices. You can compare them side by side and make an instant purchase online.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here or contact us at any time.
    Thanks & Regards
