    Default Adjustment of status

I was with employer A for 3 yrs ( was doing residency for 3 yrs before this on H1b- total 6 yrs on H1b). Had Labour cert and I-140 approved. Moved to employer B with 3 years extension on my H1b. I know that my priority date is still valid as my previous employer( employer A) has not withdrawn the petition. Now my priority date is current. My attorney says that I can go ahead and file for 1-485 as my previous employer has not withdrawn the petition and they would not get any information from USCIS from now on. Has anyone got their green card this way? Appreciate your response.

That is possible only if your previous employer A is willing to hire you right away after you get the green card.
