Default New Employer and Old Passport

    Hello,

I appreciate your help regarding this.

    1. My passport with a H-1B visa stamp from my previous employer had expired and I have a new passport booklet issued by the Indian embassy.
    2. I have a H-1B petition approval with my new employer. (i797 approval notice). I have already started working with the new employer.
    4. If I travel outside the country, do i need to get a new H-1B stamp on my new passport? or can I use the H-1 visa stamp on my old passport along with the H-1B petition approval from my new employer for re-entry.

    Thanks for your help.

If the H1B visa in the old passport is still valid, then you can use that along with the new H1B approval notice to re-enter U.S. You will show both the old and the new passport at the POE.
