Daughters PP expired 9 months ago..help needed pls

Hello,

My daughters PP expired 9 months ago and I forgot to notice. She is 6 yrs old..Unfortunately she needs to go to India in 3 months time and I have no clue what the process is now.

1. Do we simply apply for renewal or do we have to apply for new PP allover?

2. please let me know approx time for each method.

3. can they still book tickets and travel to India just in case they do not get the renewal done in time?

4. how good a chance do we have in getting renewed PP within next 3 months?

Depending on the consulate it can be 1-2 months for renewal/new passport. You can buy tickets but you can't travel with out a passport.
