    Default B1/B2 R type visa

    hello

My visa is a B1/B2 visa type R. I applied for a us visa because I have to take an exam. Unfortunately, my exam application process have not been completed yet so my documents to present to the immigration is not complete. I only have some proof that I really am taking the exam. My annotation states that I will be taking an exam in chicago. Unfortunately, I may not be able to take it because my documents are not complete. So I am deciding to travel to the states for pleasure instead, as I promised my relatives that I would go see them. In fact, i already have an invitation from my aunt who lives in the states, inviting me to visit her.

I am worried about what the immigration might think. If they will ask me questions, I am prepared to answer in full honesty and present to them the proof they need. And my return ticket to let them know that I am gonna come back to my country.

Please help. Is this possible? Will they allow me to enter as a tourist, even though my first intention was to take an exam? I mean, they did give me a B1/B2 visa.

Default I have the same trouble

    Hi there,

I have the same problem with you. I got a B1/B2 type visa on April with the purpose to attend a conference. However, the conference was cancelled unexpectedly. So now I want to use the visa to travel to the US, but don't know if it is possible. I wonder if you have got the answer somewhere. Could you please share your experience?

    Thanks in advanced
    Handa
