H4 travelling to USA ....Delhi london (heathrow) then london(gatwick) to Tampa

My wife is on H4 visa travelling to USA ....Delhi to london (heathrow) then london(gatwick) to Tampa(USA)

she has a Valid h4 visa to USA do i need british transit visa or any other visa to transfer between london airports i.e from heathrow to gatwick ??? time between both flights is 5 hours if anyone has travelled through this route please share experience.
do we need to carry our checked in luggage from heatrow to gatwick on our own??
