Can F-2 be applied after getting H1B approval?

Currently, I am on OPT and my employer is going to file H1B for me this year in April.
We want to bring my wife here in USA and are not willing to wait until Oct.

Is it possible to get her F-2 visa after I get H-1B approval?

Because I will be on student visa until Oct.

Yes, she can certainly apply, whether she will get it or not depends on her ties to home country, your ability to pay for her expenses etc. In general since you are on OPT and working already, there is a greater possibility that F2 may be denied, but some people still get it. H1 petition filing has nothing to with this.
