Wife in US; B2 or H4 for Husband?

Hi All,

I am planning to visit my wife in the US in the month of May this year. She is currently on H1B visa. Could you clarify the following three questions?

Which of the two visas has fewer chances of rejection: Visiting Visa or Dependent Visa?

Is it difficult to get H4 visa approval if the dependent is the Husband?

My company might initiate an L1 Visa in September. Will there be an issue if I have an H4 visa at that time?

>>> The chances of rejection or approval is the same for both H4 and B2. It all depends on what documents you submit. In your case, it is advisable to go for H4. B2 is purely for tourism.

Is it difficult to get H4 visa approval if the dependent is the Husband?
>>> There is no such gender bias on H4 visa. As long as the marriage is genuine and the spouse is maintaining the H1B status, H4 visa can be applied.
