    Default Multiple entries to USA

    Hi all,

Quick question which I'm sure has been answered many times already.
I am an Australian citizen who entered the states with an approved ESTA (vwp). I was allocated 90 days with my exit date to be May 17th. I left some time ago and have been in Mexico for around 1 month. In total I was in the states for 30 odd days. I am re-entering the states (with lans to stay for another month or so) and have the following questions:

Do I need to apply for and obtain a new ESTA (vwp)?
Does that reset my 90 day allowance?
Would I still have to be out by May 17th? (remembering I only stayed for 30 days the first time).
How does it work am I still using my originally allocated 90 days but the exit date changes as I was in Mexico? Or do I reapply and it resets the entire process?

Thankyou for any response it is greatly appreciated.

    Ross.

You will likely be readmitted under your original waiver. You can ask the officer about this, and if you are lucky, they will issue you a new waiver. They often do. Just make sure the new date is stamped in your passport.
