H1 Transfer before start date

Hi,

I applied for H1 and it got approved.My H1 start date is from Oct 2012.But i am planning to change to another employer.

Should i apply for new H1 if i want to change to another employer before October 2012?

and if YES what will be the status of my H! with my current employer?

Can i Transfer my H1 from my current Employer to the New Employer before the start date or should i wait till October to do it?

Transfer can be filed before Oct 1st. If the transfer gets approved, the effective date will still be On or after Oct 1st.
