    Default question about return airtickets

I want to apply for an extension for my mother for 3 months ,when she came in january we took a one-way ticket in case she needed to leave earlier. The required documents list for visitor visa extension asks for return air ticket copy for proof of return ,now do I need to buy a ticket before applying for extension to show that she will be leaving for sure? also if I do need tobuy the ticket should I buy it for when the i-94 expires(july) or according to the requested extension period(october)? Please advise

How was your mother able to get a one way ticket on a visitor visa?
Airlines usually do not do that.

You will actually have to buy a return ticket for the date she actually wants to leave . That is at the end of the requested extension period.
