Hi, my name is vikram and i completed my m.sc in chemistry in 2007. I worked for 3 years as a lecturer at 2 different colleges. In 2010 , my contract was not renewed for my last job and it left me unemployed. i started preparing for IELTS and i wrote it in january 2011, securing 7.5 bands. I applied to a canadian university for PhD , But my application got rejected. So i decided to apply again. I wrote GRE in january 2012 and got a score of 312(158 quant and 154 verbal). I applied to 4 universities in USA for PhD. I am selected in 1 university(University of nebraska-Lincoln), with full funding. Now i am confused about my 2 year unemployment. I will have to mention it in my DS160 form. Will it effect my chances of getting F1 visa ?
