Default Applying visa and spouse name inclusion - reg

    Hi,

I am getting married next month.
He is currently studying in US. I will be travelling in F2 Visa.
Is it possible to get visa appointment date before marriage?

Also do let me know if including spouse name in passport is mandatory for applying F2 visa.

    Please guide me.

    Thanks in advance,
    Vidya

You can book the appointment before wedding, but interview must happen after the wedding.

It is not necessary to get your spouse's name included in your passport.

You spouse will need to get a dependent I-20 from their school. Some schools don't issue that before the wedding, some schools do.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
